A world-class Bulthaup kitchen supplier in London asked us to design an extension to their existing showroom. The upstairs concept fitted the more traditional contemporary kitchen palette and design, whilst the new basement was created to display the brand in a new and unique way. The space was conceived as a Wine Cellar, available for tastings, client presentations and parties. The concept revolved around revealing the lightness of light, the darkness of dark and the stoneness of stone. The palette of materials chosen for the space were purposefully used to absorb natural levels of illuminance. Matt black concrete wall panels, matt black metalwork staircase made by Martin and matt black timber and kitchen panels from Bulthaup.
